A few weeks ago, I had the honor of celebrating my parent's 50th anniversary. The majority of the family came together for a week at Blue Mountain Beach, Florida. We had not done this in several years...I believe the last time, my eldest was only a few months old. To remember this wonderful occasion, we decided to take one big family picture on the beach.
I was looking forward to this, but I had also hurt my foot. I knew we would be walking a good distance to find the right spot, where the beach was not crowded. Let me tell you the beach was a gorgeous see-through blue and the sand was white like snow. The only thing is that walking through that white powdered sand takes work and the friction was hurting my foot.

My father had his camera and was finding the right spot for the family photo. So naturally, I was following behind him. Each time I took a step, my foot sunk down and it hurt! I was trying to figure out how to get to our destination without being in pain. It was at that moment, that I decided to try to walk on my father's footprints. It was so easy! The sand was already compacted down. I wasn't sinking and the sand was not hurting my foot as bad! And it was at that time that it kind of sunk into me, a vision of what we are doing for our children!

Some of you are walking out on a completely new path than what you grew up with. You know who you are. The ones who have decided to not continue on the same trajectory.
